Handgun Shooting Fundamentals

Take your handgun skills to the next level with our Handgun Shooting Fundamentals course. This class is designed for new and developing shooters who want to improve their accuracy, consistency, and confidence through proper technique and guided practice.

Students will learn and refine:

• Firearm safety and range procedures

• Proper grip and stance

• Sight alignment and sight picture

• Trigger control and follow-through

• Recoil management

• Drawing from a ready position (if appropriate for the class)

• Reloading fundamentals

• Diagnosing and correcting common shooting errors

• Building consistency through structured live-fire drills

This course emphasizes accuracy before speed, helping students develop solid fundamentals that serve as the foundation for all defensive and recreational handgun shooting.

By the end of the class, students will have a better understanding of the mechanics of accurate shooting and the confidence to continue improving through safe, effective practice.

Prerequisites: Students should have a basic understanding of handgun safety and operation, either through an introductory handgun course or equivalent experience.
